Our Story
Founded in the heart of Assam, PAWS Assam emerged from a collective of passionate individuals who could no longer ignore the plight of stray animals and the degrading environmental conditions affecting local wildlife. What started as informal feeding drives and makeshift shelters quickly evolved into a structured, professional NGO dedicated to comprehensive animal welfare.
Today, we operate a network of rescue operations, medical camps, and rehabilitation centers, working tirelessly to bridge the gap between human communities and the animals they share their environment with.

Official registration as an NGO and the establishment of our first dedicated shelter and recovery facility.
